CALL TO ACTION

We should say never again to George Bush and the fanatical right wing of the Republican Party. We should pledge never again will we allow, without an all out battle, the ilk of Dick Cheney to highjack our country's government.

These crooked politicians have raided the country's budget surplus in order to reward their friends. They have ignored the issues that impact the average American. They have lied to start a war in Iraq. Meanwhile, thousands of young soldiers have been killed, maimed and seriously injured because of faulty equipment and incompetent war management. During this immoral war, Cheney's Halliburton Company has garnered no bid contracts while overcharging and failing to render adequate services. To add insult to injury; after Halliburton looted our tax dollars they have moved their corporate headquarters to Dubai - thus avoided American taxes (read Sen. Pat Leahy's comments):

Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt., called the decision to move as "an example of corporate greed at its worst."

"This is an insult to the U.S. soldiers and taxpayers who paid the tab for their no-bid contracts and endured their overcharges for all these years," Leahy said in a statement.

Yes, our mantra should be never again!

Over these past 7-8 years, Bush, who pre-Sept 11th failed to respond to terrorist threats, has used the 911 attack to push his warped agenda down the throats of shelled-shocked America. This upcoming election we all must send a resounding rejection message to the right wing Bushees.

My friends, its not enough to complain - we have to become engaged and fight like hell. I advise all my readers to go to www.barackobama.com or www.hillaryclinton.com and join and participate. Let's take back our country!

thanks luckily i'm not one of those bandwagon peeps
I've already done all the research on Barack and know his position
on most of the issues such as Healthcare Education and most impt the Economy,
which has spiraled down and continues to do so, this also effects my job (housingmarket)
which is in need of deep repair. Every move our current president has made has backfired and each and everyone of us in america is affected by it in one way or another, right down to the price of a gallon of milk. Which is now over 4 dollars. I do wish Barack the best, To me the simple fact that
a black man has made it to the forefront alone, is amazing as well as a part of history.
It seems his campaign gains momentum with every primary, which I am very happy to see.
I was very surprised to see him win the Iowa primary right out the gate, which is predominantly
a white or should we say red state. He picked up a kool 80% of the vote.
The country is a wreck and deficit is far more than it has ever been, in the Zillions, numbers
we don't even use, and the dollar in this country is lower in value than it's ever been. The canadian
dollar is now worth more than ours, and it was always a pleasure to go to canada when I lived
in Seattle cause you could buy twice as much with the american dollar. There is so much at stake
Change and direction should have a new face, a new vision for our future, with new ideas that keep up
with today's technology. Bush bids us farewell in his final state of the union speech this evening
that is sure to be filled with propaganda of how he thought he was doing the right thing, His administration
has been a disaster since day one, I guess we kinda figured that just by the way he went about winning
the election, with the missing florida votes. LOL. We could go on and on including the way most other countries in the union feel toward the United states. The way we look upon him in our history should be just the way he ran our country as president. With his own personal agenda, fighting wars with enemies that he preferred rather than the war that the people wanted to fight, now look at the dismay and the never ending bills that add up and will continue to add up over the next 20 years because of his choices.
His bold arragant style has led him, as well as us, to this place, Recession and Depression is inevitable.
It's Sad. I still ponder which candidate would really be best to get us back on track, Well at this point
we don't even know who the nominee will be, So I still listen and take in as much as I can, that's all I can do
But right now, right here, I let it go and give it to god. And pray that he gives our next president the strength
and the courage and the power to bring our country out of the red and where we need to be as a people.
As Americans.
